Every day I see it. I guarantee that 99% of the time I don't remember seeing it - but I know that my brain takes it in.
It's on my fridge door. A magnet with the words :
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams!
Live the life you've imagined."
- Thoreau
Every day I subconsciously get this message. Every day my brain has something positive and dynamic to keep it focused on my goal. The Goal.
The more I fill my head with positive, uplifting, and challenging thoughts - the less room I have for negative thinking. If I was an athlete I would train every day - hard - if I really wanted to reach the top of my chosen sport. I would make sacrifices, go through the pain barrier, and mentally challenge myself to go that extra mile.
Why should it be any different because you're sitting at a desk in an office?
Success revolves around risk and reward. The more you risk 'stepping out of your box' - the more reward you will get. Not now. Not this week. Almost certainly not this month. But over time your payback will come - and only if you make the effort first.
