Are you a worrier?
The reason why I asked is that Lesley started helping one of my brothers today for the first time...and boy, was she worried!
- She worried if she could 'handle it'.
- She worried if she would like it.
- She worried what she looked like.
- She worried that she might have to answer the 'phone.
In fact...she probably had even more worries other than these that she told me about.
If you look closely...you can see that all of her worries had one thing in common...
They were all in her head...and made up totally by her!
And..guess what?
Once she'd done her four hour's worth of helping my brother's business...she came back smiling!
All of the things she had been worrying about never occurred to her once she just got on with doing something. She even answered the 'phone a few times...without a clue of what she was going to be asked!
So - what's the moral of this story for you?
Well...worrying about something isn't necessarily a bad thing (we all do it)...but, you will find that best cure for killing worry for good is by doing the very same thing you are worrying about.
As the saying goes - "Feel the fear, but do it anyway!"
